JOB DUTIES:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the dealership's fiscal function and performance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the dealership's plans and programs.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-term planning and introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
• Develop credibility for the finance division by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the Dealer Principal and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
• Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures via systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the dealership.
• Establish credibility throughout the dealership as an effective leader and problem solver that develops solutions to business challenges.
• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
• Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the dealership, such as evaluating potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and retirement funds and investments.
• Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reports that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Provide financial advice on any contracts into which the dealership may encounter.
• Work closely with the senior executive team to evaluate the finance division's structure and plan for continual improvement for efficiency and effectiveness of the group.
• Provide guidance and expertise in managing financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
• Leverage experience in the Tractor Trailer and Refrigeration Dealership Industry to provide relevant and impactful financial guidance.
• Ability to act as a strategic partner and peer at all levels of the dealership.
• Highly visible position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree or 15 years of related experience.
• Experience in the transportation industry is extremely beneficial but not required.
