Parts Delivery Driver

Gateway Truck & Refrigeration, a Carrier Refrigeration, Volvo, and Hino truck dealer with multiple locations in the St. Louis Metro area is in search of a Parts Delivery Driver.

Duties include:

• Drive delivery truck to deliver parts to commercial customers, including loading and unloading of parts
• Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within the safety guidelines
• Consistently and courteously assist customers in a professional and prompt manner
• Observe and report customer information, including customer buying habits and competitive intrusion
• Work with the Parts Manager on account management, including distribution of invoices, cash handling and the processing of returns
• Responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, appearance and the safe operation of company-owned delivery vehicles on a daily or weekly basis
• Fill customer orders and ready them for delivery
• Assist Shipping and Receiving in keeping the parts area clean, organized and stocked
• Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures
• Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
• Presents bill and receipts and collects payment for goods delivered or loaded
• Turns in receipts and money received from deliveries
• Provides excellent customer service
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds from floor to waist-height and from shoulder-height to floor
• Ability to occasionally lift or move 100 pounds from floor to waist with assistance
• Ability to work in all types of weather and move between inside and outside environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Ability to drive vehicles with a standard (manual) and automatic transmission
• Have a good understanding of the metropolitan area and able to navigate from maps and directions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be detail oriented
• High school diploma or equivalent
